About Me
Hi I'm Laura (Ashley Live Art) and I'm a live event painter from Asheboro, NC. I bring the art process to life for audiences. I have a unique, bright & wild style and I'm excited to share that with you.
I began my art career when I was around six years old by painting people at the ocean for a $2 bill Later, I attended UNCW and graduated with a degree in Studio Art. During college, I worked part-time at a paint and sip studio. After graduating from UNCW, I purchased my own paint and sip studio in Southern Pines, NC. While operating the studio, I also took a full-time job as a high school art teacher in Asheboro, NC.
After five years of teaching and running a studio full-time, I decided to leave high school teaching and pursue my newly discovered passion of live art painting. I started by painting at weddings and the opportunities blossomed into all kinds of special events... graduation ceremonies, grand openings, business milestones, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers...then to galas, fundraisers, corporate conferences, workshops, sporting events- almost every type of celebration known. I have truly fallen in love with speed painting, performance painting, and live painting for charities. It has been such a blessing to be able to do what I love, meet new friends, and contribute financially to the many charity organizations that I have become involved with.
